B19 · 800 Upper (Japan)
B19 is a 3GPP LTE (4G) band (800 Upper (Japan)), FDD duplex, uplink 830–845 MHz and downlink 875–890 MHz. The whole band sits below 1 GHz, so it is a coverage layer: it travels far and gets through walls, deciding rural and indoor signal. Of the 155 networks we check, 1 use it (Japan).12

What it means for IoT devices
- For IoT devices headed to Japan, support B19: it is a coverage layer, and without it indoor and rural signal drops noticeably.
Our dongles (MF833V, Dongle 400, F40) do not support B19.
