n40 · 2300 S-Band
n40 is a 3GPP 5G NR band (2300 S-Band), TDD duplex, uplink 2300–2400 MHz and downlink 2300–2400 MHz. It is a capacity layer: wide and fast, with shorter reach than the low bands. Of the 155 networks we check, 2 use it (Brazil, Indonesia).12

What it means for IoT devices
- n40 adds capacity in Brazil, Indonesia: it raises city speeds, but coverage comes from the low bands.
- This is a TDD band: FDD-only modules cannot use it.
Our dongles (MF833V, Dongle 400, F40) do not support n40.
