Network access: long-term roaming
Many globally deployed IoT devices use multi-network roaming SIMs that can attach to several networks in a country, but some countries restrict long-term roaming by foreign SIMs. A local SIM roaming domestically is not affected.
◐ Allowed under conditions: Indonesia restricts long-term roaming by foreign SIMs (Com4: local licensing and data sovereignty) and requires IMEI registration: unregistered, untaxed devices are blocked from long-term use of local SIMs.345
