Network access: long-term roaming

Many globally deployed IoT devices use multi-network roaming SIMs that can attach to several networks in a country, but some countries restrict long-term roaming by foreign SIMs. A local SIM roaming domestically is not affected.

⚠ Long-term roaming by foreign SIMs is not allowed: Turkish law prohibits long-term roaming by foreign SIMs (Com4); foreign devices on local SIMs must register their IMEI and pay a fee within 120 days (one source says 180), and registration needs a Turkish tax ID.2345
